Kerinchi families receive food supplies via Box of Hope initiative

Essential food items like rice, oil, sugar, dry goods and flour were distributed to the B40 families.

PENGURUSAN Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) is continuing its Sesama Mara corporate social responsibility programme with the distribution of its signature Box of Hope to 100 families in PPR Kerinchi Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur.

The collaboration between Air Selangor, Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia and Village Grocer provided the recipients with essential food items such as rice, oil, sugar, dry goods and flour.

To date, 3,875 Box of Hope packages have been distributed to B40 families in and around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, since the initiative was launched at the end of June.

In line with its commitment to support communities in need, Air Selangor also announced its latest volunteer programme – Hydro Heroes.

This programme has since received encouraging response.

To date, no fewer than 150 Air Selangor employees have registered as volunteers.

These volunteers also participated in the event at PPR Kerinchi Lembah Pantai.

Air Selangor hoped the aid provided would bring joy while strengthening relationships in society, such as the local community, residents associations, local authorities and non-governmental organisations.

The Box of Hope contributions in the form of physical purchases can be made at Box of Hope locations within Village Grocer outlets at Tamarind Square Cyberjaya, MyTown Shopping Centre Cheras, 1 Mont Kiara, Central i-City Shah Alam and Melawati Mall Ampang.

Air Selangor has also introduced a digital version of the Box of Hope initiative, whereby the public can make digital contributions through www.airselangor.com/boxofhope/
