Energy and petrochemical company Shell Malaysia has unveiled an exclusive line of remote-controlled cars.
The collection merges innovation associated with Shell V-Power with the timeless appeal of fan-favourite Star Wars characters, creating the world’s first Star Wars Racers Collection.
This limited-edition collection features six designs, namely the Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Darth Maul, The Mandalorian, Boba Fett and BB-8 racers.
The sleek, dark and elegant Darth Vader Racer has a grille reminiscent of Vader’s mask complete with beaming LED lights inspired by his eyes.
Representing the might of the Imperial Army, the Stormtrooper Racer has a clean, minimalist look in a high-gloss white finish.
The Darth Maul Racer is in a deep, blood-red metallic that shimmers, referencing the character’s distinctive markings, complete with a roof inspired by Maul’s horns.
The Mandalorian Racer in matte silver is inspired by Din Djarin and his beskar armour, with the Mandalorian signet adorning the right rear wheel “shoulder”.
The fearsome Boba Fett follows suit, with a dent inspired by the bounty hunter’s helmet.

The car sports a rugged, military-style matte green and a miniature model of the character’s targeting rangefinder.
Completing the line-up is a design inspired by loyal astromech BB-8, which has a futuristic, compact and spherical design – this car stands out in orange and white livery.
At the launch, Shell Mobility Malaysia general manager Seow Lee Ming said, “The response to our annual limited-edition collection has been nothing short of extraordinary.
“Shell V-Power enthusiasts are some of the most passionate people, and we know timeless stories like Star Wars continue to resonate among fans of all ages.
“We knew we had to celebrate these passionate communities and we hope fans will have tonnes of fun collecting and racing with this new collection.”
She added that the company was the first to incorporate Star Wars-inspired racing car designs not only on toy cars, but also digital versions that players could explore in their Shell Racing mobile app.
The collection retains all the special features, including Bluetooth control and proprietary smart battery from the 2022 Shell Motorsports Collection.
With the Shell Racing App, customers can enjoy a racing experience now themed after galactic adventures.
From now until Nov 19, one model of the cars will be released each week exclusively at Shell stations nationwide.
Individual car models except Darth Vader Racer are available for purchase at RM49.90 with a minimum RM50 fuel purchase in a single receipt of Shell FuelSave 95, Shell V-Power 97 or Shell V-Power Racing.
The smart Bluetooth battery is available at RM30 with the same minimum fuel purchase.
The Darth Vader Racer is free with every Shell Helix Ultra or Power 4L purchase at Shell stations.
Customers can also buy the collector casing at RM89.90 when they pump RM80 Shell V-Power Racing in a single receipt.
