Najmuddin steps down as MPKj president

KAJANG Municipal Council’s (MPKj) Najmuddin Jemain, 48, has stepped down as council president after holding office for two years.

According to MPKj staff members, Najmuddin’s tenure had come to an end on Oct 19 while his then deputy Mohd Fareez Mohd Ariss @ Mohd Hatta had been designated as acting president of the council since Oct 20.

Najmuddin, 48, formerly a deputy president of MPKj (2017-2020) was appointed president of the council on July 19, 2021, and led the council while he was still holding his position as Hulu Langat district officer.

Najmuddin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universiti Malaya in 1999.

He later obtained his Masters from the same university in 2009.

He has served at the Public Service Department in Putrajaya and Lands and Mines Department (JKPTG) in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor.
