GRAND Imperial Group’s recent unveiling of its 11th outlet at Setia City Mall, Setia Alam, Selangor is the epitome of a decade and a half of unparalleled luxury and culinary mastery.

Decked with modern ambience in a luxurious setting, the group’s newest eatery centres on authentic Cantonese-style cuisine as well as a grand and exceptional venue for memorable occasions.

Also celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, group managing director Datuk Tony Wong Nam Loong said the group had achieved significant milestones in just 18 months with the expansion from eight to 11 restaurants.

“Setia Alam is strategic to capture the market in Klang, Port Klang and Shah Alam.

“There are many businesses in the area, and corporations can have their functions here without needing to go to Petaling Jaya or Kuala Lumpur.

“Although we are centred on Cantonese-style dishes, we have also brought in talented chefs to present more exciting dishes for our customers,” he said at the launch of the restaurant.

Spanning about 15,000 sq ft, the restaurant boasts five private rooms and has a seating capacity of 400.

Its interior furnishing gives it a modern edge showcasing a young, trendy vibe.

Lion dance performances hyped up the opening as a symbolic gesture to bring in luck and prosperit while guests were treated to a six-course banquet menu.

Moving forward, Wong said the group was looking to expand its reach with another one or two restaurants in the next two years.

“There were talks to have one outlet at the newly opened Pavillion Damansara, and we are looking at Johor Baru too.

“Our brand is known in Singapore, and tourists can hop over to Johor Baru to savour our food at Grand Imperial.”

Wong added that there were plans to list the group.

“There are pros and cons, but there are definitely more pluses for the group.”
