Insurer launches ‘good policy’ in tackling ESG challenges

INSURANCE provider Berjaya Sompo has launched its “The Good Policy” brand campaign to underscore its dedication to safeguarding customers and the future of Malaysia.

It will do so by addressing environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges through a range of initiatives.

“The Good Bengkel” initiative will subsidise RM250 towards repairs of 200 cars belonging to the B40 community (for selected models and year of manufacture).

Berjaya Sompo chief executive officer Tan Sek Kee said, “We believe that a responsible insurance provider should go beyond the conventional and actively contribute to the betterment of the communities it serves.

“This campaign is a testament to our dedication to positive change, and ‘The Good Bengkel’ initiative demonstrates our commitment to improving the lives of those in need.”

The campaign aims to inspire positive change and promote a brighter future for Malaysia by focusing on initiatives that address environmental concerns, promote social well-being and uphold strong governance practices.

With “The Good Bengkel” initiative, the company will directly assist B40 individuals who often face financial challenges in maintaining their vehicles.

Berjaya Sompo invites individuals, community organisations and stakeholders to join hands in embracing and supporting “The Good Bengkel”.
