Magic of Malaysia’s arts and culture on show until year end

Hasanah Foundation invites all Malaysians to participate in #SeniKitaKitaPunya and enjoy diverse arts and cultural shows supported by ArtsFAS.

EVERYONE is invited to experience the magic of Malaysia’s arts and cultural heritage in the year-end holiday season.

From now until December 2023, Arts for All Seasons (ArtsFAS) is holding a series of events around the country – a rich offering of local arts, heritage and culture.

An initiative powered by Hasanah Foundation and staged in collaboration with Finance Ministry, ArtsFAS nurtures an inclusive space for local practitioners, empowering a diverse range of art forms across communities.

This year, ArtsFAS 2023 is supporting 142 arts and cultural shows, comprising a variety of acts such as Chinese festive drums, wayang kulit, bangsawan theatre, classical Indian dance, traditional wau festival, Sarawak heritage cuisine, Chinese orchestra, Chetti food culture and Chinese Peranakan festival.

It also aims to “merakyatkan seni” – or make the arts accessible to ordinary Malaysians.

Events are hosted in cities, small towns and rural areas, offering both ticketed and free-entry shows.

In conjunction with ArtsFAS 2023, Hasanah Foundation is spearheading the nationwide #SeniKitaKitaPunya movement, celebrating Malaysia’s rich art and cultural diversity and fostering a sense of pride in the country’s heritage.

Since its inception in 2021, ArtsFAS has emerged as Malaysia’s largest annual grant programme, providing RM10.2mil to 333 arts, heritage and cultural events.
