A BUS lane trial project will be implemented along Jalan Genting Kelang in Kuala Lumpur starting tomorrow.

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd said the bus lane would operate during morning peak hours from 6am to 9am on weekdays.

It will involve 47 buses covering five routes, namely 250 (Wangsa Maju LRT Station-Lebuh Ampang), 200 (UIA Gombak-Monorail Chow Kit), 202 (Hab Wira Damai-Lebuh Ampang via Gombak), 251 (AU3 Jentayu-Chow Kit) and 254 (Ayer Panas-Titiwangsa via Chow Kit).

Rapid Bus chief executive officer Muhammad Yazurin Sallij Muhammad Yasin said in a statement, “The bus lane will stretch from Jalan Tumbuhan to Bulatan Pahang.

“With this, we expect Rapid KL services to operate more smoothly.

“It is expected to save travel time by up to 20 minutes compared to using private vehicles.

“The bus service on Jalan Genting Kelang also connects passengers to other public transport modes.”
