Radio drama makes a splash in highlighting water issues

Drama Radio Hydro Squad starred Hot FM radio presenters, including Fara Fauzana, AG, Johan Raja Lawak and BoBoiBoy.

RADIO drama Hydro Squad made its debut on local airwaves to raise public awareness of the importance of water resources conservation and protecting the environment.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd, Hot FM and Monsta teamed up to produce the show that revolved around Taman Air Hangat, a neighbourhood hit by a severe flash flood, with consequences on water sustainability.

Through the production, Air Selangor aimed to provide exposure and instil a sense of responsibility regarding sustainable water consumption in an entertaining fashion.

The radio drama featured a line-up of Hot FM radio presenters, including Fara Fauzana, AG and Johan Raja Lawak, as well as animated character BoBoiBoy.

Air Selangor head of corporate communication Elina Baseri, said: “We hope the message conveyed through Drama Radio Hydro Squad can further increase awareness and encourage the public to consume water sustainably and care for the environment that can impact our water resources.”

Monsta chief executive officer Nizam Abd Razak said the producer of the popular BoBoiBoy series was proud to be part of the effort.

“We believe this initiative is a step forward in promoting social responsibility and awareness about water and environmental issues to the younger generation and general public,” he said.

Hydro Squad was broadcast during the Bekpes Hot segment from 6am to 10am and the Hot Squad segment from 3pm to 7pm on Hot FM.
