Members of the Malaysian Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate have been urged to find ways to contribute to the country through their organisation.
Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng said, regardless of their race, religion or background, each of them should join hands and intensify efforts to bring the country to a higher level of pride and excellence.
“Through collective commitment to JCI’s principles, you can make a meaningful impact and become a beacon of hope and inspiration in our community,” he said at the JCI Malaysia Senate swearing-in ceremony.
Chieng’s speech was read by his representative, councillor Kiing Teck Ho.
At the ceremony, themed “Let Our Light Shine”, Patrick Teo was sworn in as the new JCI Malaysia Senate president replacing Linda Ling.
Chieng also said it was the duty of the JCI Senate to unite, overcome differences and work together with unwavering determination.
“Thank you for your dedication and being a part of this incredible organisation.
“Let’s continue working together, let our light shine, and be a force for positive change in our community and beyond,” he added.
