SUTERA Mall in Johor Baru is ushering in Chinese New Year (CNY) with an exciting month-long celebration.

Mall manager Jean Ooi Boon Shya said shoppers would be spoilt for choice at its CNY fair, which is ongoing until Feb 9.

“There are 75 booths featuring 45 participating brands.

“Shoppers will find festive items such as hampers, dried meat, cookies and floral arrangements.

“We are also running our CNY redemption campaign, which entitles shoppers to redeem limited-edition gifts simply by spending a specific amount,” she said during the launch.

Ooi said those who spend at least RM188 could redeem limited-edition red packets.

Along with the red packets, those who spend RM788 or above can also get an exclusive fortune bowl set while premium abalone can be redeemed by those spending RM1,188 or above (one can) and RM1,988 or above (two cans).

Ooi also said that customers spending RM888 or more at the fair could enjoy special prices when buying pineapple juice or slices at Lee Pineapple.

“To add to the festive atmosphere, we have put up vibrant decorations and prepared Zodiac Fortune Boards to create ideal photo opportunities,” she highlighted.

She said the mall had also lined up cultural programmes until Feb 13.

“They include lion dance on stilts and other traditional dances plus Chinese yo-yo and wushu demonstrations.

“Keep an eye out for the God of Fortune during this period.

“On Feb 3 at 3pm, there will be a special talk by Master Ern Cher about the zodiac animals.

“Local artistes Nick Chung and Stella Chung will also be here on Feb 3 at 8pm to promote their CNY album,” she said.

Ooi said one of the most exciting events would be the meet-and-greet promo tour by stars of Singapore comedy Money No Enough 3 at 4.30pm on Feb 7.

Visitors can engage with the cast members Jack Neo, Mark Lee, Henry Thia and Regina Lim.

“On Jan 27, we will hold a traditional costume karaoke competition in collaboration with Johor Baru Tiong Hua Asso-ciation, where participants stand to win prizes,” said Ooi.

In addition, there will be a mega celebration with Johor Baru Tiong Hua Youth group on Feb 17.
