Angpow for education

The first 100 individuals to donate at least RM188 will receive a set of limited-edition angpow packets.

INSTEAD of a one-time angpow, consider giving one that a child can continue to enjoy long after the Lunar New Year celebrations are over.

With the “Angpow for Education” campaign, such an angpow will enable a child to attend school equipped with basic stationery, educational resources and trained teachers.

Not only will this red packet educate the child but in the long run, it can uplift an entire family out of poverty.

Initiated by World Vision Malaysia, the campaign would convey good wishes and spread the joy of the festive season to vulnerable children, families and communities.

The charity’s Child Sponsorship Plus Programme allows donors to sponsor a child in the world’s most vulnerable places and extend assistance to fellow Malaysians.

Contributions to the long-term programme will see a portion of the funds being directed to the Malaysia Assistance Fund, dedicated to helping Malaysian children and fostering child-related development initiatives in the country.

“Child Sponsorship Plus gives Malaysians the opportunity to be involved with marginalised communities at both the international and local level.

“It is truly a great way to kick off the Lunar New Year – providing children and communities hope for a brighter future,” said World Vision Malaysia chief executive officer Terry Leong.

The first 100 individuals to donate an “Angpow for Education” of at least RM188 will receive a set of eight limited-edition angpow packets.

The offer is only open to residents of Malaysia. For details, visit bit.ly/CNY2024_EN or call 03-7800 0899.
