DBKL organises 11 events to celebrate FT Day


KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has lined up 11 event starting October 2023 until July 14 this year in conjunction with Federal Territory Day on Feb 1.

The DBKL said, in a statement Wednesday (Jan 31), that these included the 1 Suara @ 50 WP, organised from last October until the end of February; Teaterikal Gemuruh (Feb 23-25); Prosperity Walk and Chinese New Year Celebration (Feb 24); Cycling Marathon @GFNY Kuala Lumpur (Feb 25) and Carnival 50WP 2024 (July 13 and July 14).

The DBKL said it has also decorated the main roads in the city, such as Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Raja, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and Jalan Sultan Ismail with 3,000 Federal Territory flags.

It added that 1,550 Federal Territory flags have also been put up on street lamps around the city and the local authority also issued a letter to the owners of premises to jointly enliven the celebration by flying the Federal Territory and Kuala Lumpur flags on their buildings.

"May the 2024 Federal Territory Day be celebrated joyfully by all city dwellers.
