RHB Art with Heart has always captivated visitors with its rich tapestry of inspired interpretations that showcase the creativity of Malaysia’s up-and-coming artists while emphasising the transformative power of art to foster positive change.

2023’s RHB Art with Heart exhibition featured the most inclusive line-up of Malaysia’s young and emerging talents, established figures, and artists with different abilities.

The event showcased over 150 captivating art pieces where each is a window into the artists’ interpretations of inclusivity, variety, and change.

Through paintings, sculptures, and calligraphy, the artists skillfully translated RHB’s core values into visual narratives that resonated with the audience.

“The RHB Art with Heart exhibition goes beyond celebrating art; it is a platform to showcase and celebrate the creativity of Malaysia’s emerging talents,” says RHB Group chief sustainability and communications officer Norazzah Sulaiman who is also RHB Foundation’s chief executive officer.

“What sets the Art with Heart exhibition apart is the participation of youth from neurodiverse background, a reflective of our commitment to promote a diverse and inclusive society and deliver positive social impact.

“Over the past five editions, the exhibition has supported over 180 local emerging artists, with more than 260 art pieces being exhibited.

‘80% of the proceeds from the sale of these inspiring pieces will benefit the artists directly,’ says Norazzah Sulaiman.‘80% of the proceeds from the sale of these inspiring pieces will benefit the artists directly,’ says Norazzah Sulaiman.

“At the 2023 Art with Heart exhibition, about 20% of the artists were neurodiverse youth who displayed 42 art pieces.

“This exhibition goes beyond admiration and appreciation.

“80% of the proceeds from the sale of these inspiring pieces will benefit the artists directly, nurturing their creative pursuits while providing them with a sustainable income.

“The balance will be channeled to RHB Foundation to support initiatives that uplift the B40 community,” said Norazzah.

As at 2023, Art with Heart organised by the RHB Banking Group has generated close to RM1mil in sales.

Last year’s exhibition themed Sparks of Change achieved an extraordinary record-setting feat by selling over 80 paintings over seven days, generating sales exceeding RM360,000.

“The success of RHB Art with Heart underscores the growing influence of the exhibition and reaffirms our commitment to leverage the power of art for positive change,” said Norazzah.

“This year’s Art with Heart exhibition will continue to be a beacon of inspiration – fostering creativity, diversity, and inclusivity for the betterment of Malaysian society.

“We aspire to make an even greater impact by empowering more homegrown artists.”
