IJM Land will be ushering in the Year of the Dragon with a Chap Goh Mei celebration on Feb 24 at its flagship Seremban 2 township in Negri Sembilan.

Over 20,000 visitors are expected at the Lunar New Year event at Seremban 2 City Park.

Jointly organised with Astro, this year’s event dubbed “Party Long Long Way” will reflect the strength, prosperity and good fortune that the dragon represents, transforming the venue into a wonderland with 2,000 specially crafted lanterns.

Diverse cultural acts and different-themed zones are also set to entertain guests.

IJM Land senior general manager Chai Kian Soon expressed hope that the celebration would revive the spirit of unity within Seremban’s multicultural community.

“IJM Land Bhd is proud to revive our cherished Chap Goh Mei celebration, a tradition deeply embedded in our community’s history since 2014.”

The first 800 visitors will each receive a festive gift as a token of appreciation.

The festivities will begin at 7pm with the Si Chuan mask-changing show, followed by a jazz dance performance.

A concert by Astro artistes like Vivienne, Jie Ying Tha, Daniel Wong, Priscilla Abby, and 3P will be the highlight.

Traditional Chinese riddles will be available for guests wanting to test their mental prowess. Additionally, this year’s mascot Baby Long Long will do meet-and-greet rounds.

The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display at 11pm.
