KFC Malaysia on a winning streak


As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations in 2023, KFC Malaysia hosted the Kentucky Town event in Sunway Pyramid, Selangor – an immersive experience for customers and fans of the restaurant chain.

KFC Malaysia thanks Malaysians for its ninth consecutive gold win at the Putra Brand Awards, the latest in 2023 in the retail (restaurants and fast-food) category.

Also known as the People’s Choice Award, the winners were 100% voted by Malaysian consumers – making this accolade prestigious and an extremely significant achievement for the brand.

“We are extremely grateful to all Malaysians who have supported our brand in the last 50 years. It has been exciting and every year is a learning curve,” says KFC Malaysia head Chandrasagran Munusamy who received the award at the One World Hotel on Jan 19.Highlighting the brand’s milestone, he adds: “2023 was extremely special as we celebrated the brand’s golden jubilee with all Malaysians. Here’s to 50 more years of finger lickin’ good meals and memorable moments.”

> KFC Malaysia hosted the Kepci Music Festival that featured over 40 homegrown talents at Stadium Malawati in Shah Alam and Dewan KDCA in Kota Kinabalu – which brought together over 11,000 Malaysians to celebrate the brand’s golden jubilee.

> The Kentucky Town event held in Sunway Pyramid, Selangor, saw the launch of KFC’s newest collaboration with Pestle and Mortar Clothing, along with a partnership with Malaysia’s renowned comic artist Ujang.

For the occasion, KFC Malaysia crafted an exclusive menu featuring Ghost Pepper Drumettes, Korean Cheesy Paper Wrap, Zinger Fire Ice Cream and many more for the K-Town visitors.

> KFC Malaysia introduced limited-time offers in collaboration with PUBG Battlegrounds and Buldak, including crowd favourites like the double-down, K-Cheese Crunch, Satay Burger, Surf N’Turf Burger.

> A significant milestone was the launch of RM5 Menu Rahmah meals in partnership with the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry – further showcasing KFC Malaysia’s commitment to serve all Malaysians.
