Classic kampung dishes and irresistible favourites are part of the tempting spread this Ramadan at Melting Pot Cafe at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
These dishes can be savoured while bonding with family and friends during the breaking of fast.
The restaurant’s chefs will be whipping up kampung-style dishes such as Siput Sedut Masak Lemak Cili Padi, Gulai Daging Nangka Muda, Gulai Tunjang Lembu, Asam Pedas Ikan Pari, Rendang Tok, Ikan Masin Masak Lemak Nenas, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Sambal Tumis Udang Petai and Kambing Kuzi.
The Nasi Kandar is a must-try, with dishes such as Kari Kepala Ikan, Kari Kambing Mamak, Ayam Bawang, Ayam Masak Madu and Ketam Goreng to be paired with salted egg, cabbage and okra for a complete meal.
The restaurant will be serving mouthwatering crowd favourites such as Roti John, murtabak, Otak-Otak Daun Nipah, Nasi Ayam Hainan, satay, bubur lambuk, Sup Gearbox, Sup Ekor and Sup Tulang Rusuk.
The Ikan Bakar station gives diners the chance to choose their preferred fish and seafood which will be grilled on the spot, while the carving station highlights Roasted Whole Lamb on Briyani Rice.
For Western-style dishes, there are Slow-braised Beef Brisket, BBQ Short Ribs, Hungarian Beef Goulash, Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Pan-seared Fish Fillet Arrabbiata.
The buffet also offers Thai dishes such as Tom Yam Gai, Steamed Seabass with Chilli, Garlic and Lime, Thai Red Roast Duck Curry, Thai Green Seafood Curry, Sweet and Sour Chicken with Pineapple and Stir-fried Beef with Basil.
End the meal on a sweet note with treats such as Sago Gula Melaka, Puding Jagung, Pengat Durian, Bubur Pulut Hitam and assorted traditional kuih.
Melting Pot Cafe’s Ramadan buffet is served from March 12 to April 9.
It is priced between RM160nett and RM188nett per person, depending on the dates.
