A foundation teamed up with three partners to host an outing for underprivileged children and distribute bubur lambuk to food delivery riders.
The initiative, organised in the spirit of Ramadan by Tropicana Foundation, benefitted more than 400 community members across the Klang Valley.
Together with partners Tropicana Gardens Mall, Kelab Kucing Malaysia and Just Pets Megastore, the foundation hosted a Kids Fun Day outing for a group of children at the mall in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
Some 40 children from Al Mahabbah Welfare and Education Organisation were invited to enjoy an educational trip to a pet store to experience the joy of hands-on animal sensory play and engaging workshops at the indoor petting zoo located within the mall.
The children were also treated to duit raya, traditional string performances and a buka puasa meal.
Tropicana also packed and distributed bubur lambuk to more than 300 food delivery riders and Tropicana Gardens Mall visitors.
Bubur lambuk was also delivered to over 100 people at Sri Tanjung Old Folks Home, Kasih Harapan and Telaga Kasih Nur Muhammad Home.
“Staying true to the spirit of the season, Tropicana will always uphold our mantra of redefining the art of living, sharing and caring by giving back to those who need it most.
“Charity is at the heart of our organisation and we hope to make a difference in our community,” said Tropicana Foundation senior committee member and Tropicana Corp Bhd senior general manager Serena Lim.
Since its inception in 2011, Tropicana Foundation has channelled more than RM26mil towards various charitable causes in Malaysia.
