TROPICANA Gardens, the signature development by Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana), was named the best mixed-use development in Malaysia by the FIABCI Malaysia Chapter at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Awards 2023.

This is a pinnacle achievement for Tropicana Gardens, an integrated development located on 7.12ha of premium land in Tropicana Indah and fronting the main intersection of Kota Damansara.

Tropicana Gardens consists of five Green Building Index (GBI)-certified residential towers, a one-million-square-foot retail mall, and an office tower.

It is directly linked to the Surian MRT station.

Hailed as one of the best transit-oriented developments (TOD) in Malaysia, Tropicana Gardens has won several awards over the years, from the 5-Star Asia-Pacific Property Awards and the iProperty Award to the Asia Property Award, just to name a few.

The township has become the pulse of Tropicana Indah, creating value for its property investors in the form of a positive rental yield. It serves the affluent neighbourhood with various amenities and facilities.

“Tropicana Gardens is part of Tropicana Indah, a sustainable 162ha township that began its journey in 1996,” said Tropicana Group executive director Din Tan.

“After more than 28 years, Tropicana Indah has become one of the most sought-after addresses in Petaling Jaya, accomplishing our grand vision for a sustainable, liveable and prosperous township with seamless connectivity.

“Tropicana Gardens’ first residential tower, Arnica, was launched in 2012 and sold out in two days.

“Bayberry, Cyperus and Dianthus serviced residences were launched in 2013, 2014 and 2016 with 100% take-up too.

“And in 2020, we rolled out and completed Tropicana Gardens Mall and Tropicana Office Tower.

“All these completed phases recorded good occupancy of up to 87%.

“Our last gem of this integrated development, Edelweiss Serviced Residences, SOFO & Shoppes, is under construction and will be completed by 2025.

“With all the valuable contributions and commitments from the Tropicana team, it is gratifying to win the prestigious FIABCI Award in the mixed-use development category.

He said the victory marked an excellent accolade and milestone for Tropicana Group.

“Building townships since 1979, Tropicana has broadened its position from a resort-style developer to a sustainable community planner.

“Our approach focuses on creating a well-connected development offering with timeless designs backed by many facilities and amenities.

“Our goal is to future-proof our businesses through our constant engagement with our stakeholders, understand market demand, and roll out marketing and sales amplification strategies through various online and other initiatives,” added Din.

Tropicana Gardens’ residential, retail and office concept features great connectivity via a direct link to the Surian MRT station, a view of Seri Selangor Golf Club, vibrant social spaces, and green parks, all packaged in a contemporary, pedestrian-friendly development inspired by Namba Park in Osaka, Japan.

Tropicana Gardens has easy access to a network of roads and highways.

This includes the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP), Sprint Highway, Penchala Link and the recently launched Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH).

It has a robust ecosystem where one can live, work, play, shop, learn and hop from one township to another with the Surian MRT just a short walk away.

The walkability factor also encourages healthy living and helps to lower its carbon footprint.

Meanwhile, Tropicana Gardens Mall currently has a take-up rate of 80%.

It is home to many international and local brands such as H&M, Uniqlo, Village Grocer, GSC Cinemas, Kindyland, Daiso, DIY, MST Golf and Thai Odyssey.

It also has the largest Mykart go-kart, the largest Starbucks Reserve and the largest live pet’s emporium in Malaysia – Just Pets Megastore.

It offers free Wi-Fi service daily from 10am to 10pm to all customers, as well as a pet-friendly zone for pet owners.

All the residential units are equipped with innovative features, such as fibre optic infrastructure for convenient high-speed Internet access, and energy-saving features to reduce electric and water consumption.

Edelweiss SOFO & Serviced Residences is an award-winning development.

Its 52 stories with 630 units of serviced residences as well as 397 units of SOFO (Small Office Flexible Office) offers an innovative smart home system that allows easy control of every aspect of your living space.

With views of the lake and golf course, the serviced residences range in size from 556sq ft to 1,111sq ft, and the SOFO from 452sq ft to 858sq ft.

Edelweiss will soon unveil the Shoppes.
