A new community park in Putra Heights will be the focal point for Subang Jaya City Council’s (MBSJ) car-free day this Sunday.

Putra Heights Community Park was completed last December by Sime Darby Property Bhd.

The 0.4ha park is equipped with facilities such as children’s playground, kite-flying area, elderly-friendly exercise equipment, and 1km pedestrian path.

It is expected to become one of the community hubs in the township alongside Putra Heights recreational park and Putra Bestari 2 neighbourhood park.

The first of MBSJ’s car-free days this year was held at the location, launched by mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim.

Visitors can expect similar vibes at the second car-free day on May 12, from 7am to 11am.

They could see a repeat of games and challenges, silat displays or Eco Free Market, while returning activities include the Urban 30km Ride, archery and colouring contests, breakfast bazaar and MBSJ mobile counter.
