Four key areas in Puchong identified for flood mitigation works

FOUR key locations have been identified to undergo flood mitigation works in Puchong to address the flooding issue.

The projects are estimated to cost about RM5mil and will be a collaborative work of several developers, Litrak and Subang Jaya City Council.

The State Trade and mobility committee chairman Ng Sze Han said this at a press conference on Tuesday (May 21) afternoon, at the Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

“The main upgrade works will consist of connecting a drain outlet from outside the IOI business park leading to a retention pond behind the business park,

“This will be followed by the building of a large culvert below the IOI LRT station.

“Other areas that will undergo lake upgrades or drain upgrades are in Bandar Puteri, Batu 14 and Town Park,” he said.

The Selangor government has brought together all stakeholders and the relevant authorities to address the flooding issue, particularly near the Damansara Puchong Expressway (LDP) outside the IOI Mall in Puchong.
