SOME 4,300 properties worth about RM2.5bil will be on sale at the three-day Malaysian Property Expo (Mapex) in Seremban.

Negri Sembilan Real Estate Housing Developers Association (Rehda) chairman Desmond Yap Poh Seng said the event would be held from today to June 2 at Palm Mall.

Seventeen developers and a bank will be taking part in Negri Sembilan Mapex which is taking place from 10am to 10pm daily.

“The rising cost of living and increase in building materials prices are affecting the affordability for people to buy property, but a shelter is still a necessity for all,” he said.

“Malaysia still has one of the lowest mortgage rates in the region, therefore, buyers should seize this opportunity to purchase their dream house or for investment as property prices are expected to go up in the long term,” he said.

Yap said among the types of properties on sale were terrace houses (single-storey, 1.5-storey, double and three-storey), semi-D houses (single-storey, 1.5-storey, double-storey, 2.5-storey), bungalows and bungalow land, apartments, and shop offices (double, three- and four-storey units).

The event will be launched by Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

Yap said the properties were located at Bandar Enstek, Bandar Sri Sendayan, Gadong, Labu, Jalan Senawang – Paroi, Mantin, Nilai, Port Dickson, Rantau, Senawang, Seremban, Seremban 2, Seremban 2 South, Tampin and Melaka.

Among the developers taking part in the Mapex showcase this time are Matrix Concepts Holdings, IJM Land, Seri Pajam Development, Sunrise MCL Land, Park Properties, GUH Properties, Multi-Realty Development, OSK Properties, Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia and Sri Damansara.

“Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia will also be joining us to give the best financial solutions to home buyers,” he said.

Yap said the state Rehda would also give away grand lucky draw cash prizes totalling RM20,000 to 18 successful buyers.

Once a purchase is confirmed, the successful buyers can redeem cash prizes from Rehda.

“Mapex will be the right platform to help buyers to make the right choice.

“Buyers will also enjoy additional incentives and benefits which the participating developers are offering during the three-day period,” he added.

Depending on the developer and property type, these include rebates, club memberships, waivers for Sale and Purchase Agreement, loan agreement, stamp duty and legal fees, zero down payments and easy move in packages.
