SOME 70 people attended an enchanting afternoon filled with captivating tales, engaging activities, and memories to celebrate Mothers Day in Kuala Lumpur.
Drawing inspiration from the cherished Disney movie Brave, attendees were immersed in the magical world of Princess Merida and her beloved mother Queen Elinor.
It was organised by The Story Book Sdn Bhd, a storytelling event company that incorporates role play and interaction, in collaboration with Dorsett Hartamas Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
Through the power of storytelling, families embarked on a journey of courage, love and understanding, reinforcing the special bond between mothers and their children.
Adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration, the families also participated in a series of interactive activities, including “The Mother and Child Look Alike” contest and “My Mom and I” activity.
Laughter and joy filled the air as families showcased their resemblance and tested their knowledge of each other, fostering moments of connection and joy.
Support from Dorsett Hartamas Kuala Lumpur Hotel heightened the excitement with attendees vying for fabulous prizes including a luxurious one-night hotel stay, a pampering spa treatment, and a buffet dim sum treat for two.
Dorsett Hospitality International Marketing and Communications director Kattie Hoo presented the prizes and congratulated the winners.
Following the activities and prize-giving, guests indulged in high-tea, savouring a selection of treats.
The Story World director Jeanisha Wan said, “We are thrilled to have collaborated with Dorsett Hartamas Kuala Lumpur Hotel hosting this joyous occasion as it was also our heartfelt tribute to all the mothers among us.
“We hope through the story told in this event, we can also help illuminate the profound care, concern, and sacrifices that mothers selflessly pour into nurturing their children.”
The Story World operates The Story Book and The Story Book Academy in Petaling Jaya.
