Close cooperation leads to academic achievement at SMK Infant Jesus Convent

MELAKA: The Parents and Teachers Association of SMK Infant Jesus Convent credits the close cooperation between teachers and students for the school's academic achievement.

"Today, we are elated to witness one of our students, Chong Xin Hui, emerging as the best SPM student in the state by achieving 10A+," said its chairman, Daniel Ang Yam Seng, after honouring the high achievers in a brief ceremony at the school on Tuesday (June 4).

Ang said the school achieved a passing mark of 98.76%, while 159 students from 161 candidates who had sat for SPM 2023 had qualified for the certificates.

"A total of 14 students had also obtained straight A's in the subjects they took".

"The commitment and hard work by both the students and teachers, as well as support from parents, has helped the school to produce a pool of excellent students," he said.

Ang said the teachers had also spent their time conducting various academic improvement programs since these students were in Form Four.

Meanwhile, the school's Senior Administrative Assistant Teacher, Zarinah Zakariya, said there is also a strong bond between the school management, PTA, and Convent Board of Governors, which has led to the school's emerging as the best missionary school in the state.
