Tourism Selangor to promote state through ads on buses and in planes

TOURISM Selangor will promote the state’s places of interest through printed commercials on buses and aeroplanes to attract more visitors for Visit Selangor Year 2025.

Selangor Local Government and Tourism Committee Chairman Datuk Ng Suee Lim said the state aims to attract eight million tourists to Selangor next year.

“Through the printed advertisements, we hope to showcase the places of interest Selangor has to offer and attract more tourists to the states,” he said during a press conference after the closing ceremony of Tukang Festival, Design and Craft 2024 at The Spine, PJKita, Petaling Jaya.

The advertisement would be showcased on the backs of buses, stowage bin covers, and aeroplane passenger seats.

“We signed a deal with Air Asia for the printed advertisements, and we hope to attract visitors from countries like Thailand, Indonesia, and China.

“We will discuss with the local authority to have the advertisements on the back of the bus.

“We hope to start with 12 buses, one from each local authority, before proceeding to 70 buses in the future,” he said.
