FOAC: SEARCHING FOR BEAUTY AND TALENT IN ONE PLACE

The ‘Face of Aman Central’ event is set to be an exciting and glamorous one as it is organised by the people behind Kedah Fashion Week.

Aman Central to host its milestone event, driving tourism and engagement

THE much-anticipated “Face of Aman Central” (FOAC) that is scheduled to take place on Sep 6, 2024, at Aman Central in Alor Setar, Kedah, is set to be an exciting one-day event that will celebrate beauty and offer visitors unforgettable experiences.

This inaugural event from the organisers of Kedah Fashion Week (KFW) aims to become a star-studded affair, carrying significant weight for the tourism industry and surpassing previous editions.

Building on last year’s triumphant comeback of KFW, this new edition paves the way for young talents to be inspired, offering unparalleled opportunities for emerging stars to become role models and at the same time creating a platform that will offer experiences.

According to Aman Central marketing communications assistant general manager Ken Chin, the FOAC is associated with northern Malaysia’s biggest event, KFW.

“It is a platform with a mission to build confidence and leadership skills for contestants, and provide extra exposure for young talents, thereby breaking stereotypes.

“The two winners will model for our upcoming 2024/2025 campaigns.”

He also added that the prize includes RM10,000 in cash for each winner and a debut in Aman Central campaigns.

“Our commitment remains constant, and we will continue to strive to bring unparalleled events in 2025 as we eagerly celebrate a decade of our new beginning with Aman Central turning 10!”

A collaborative effort

The inaugural FOAC event also serves as a strategic opportunity for Aman Central to establish long-term partnerships with its participating brands by providing a platform for exposure.

The mall’s participating brand partners including BMW Lee Motors, Tomei, Watsons, Runway Production, New Era, Carlo Rino, Edwin, Cosas United, EcoOptic, Star City, Sense3 Hair Studio, Swarovski, Barbara Flower Shop and ecoBrown’s will get to be part of their social media campaigns.

These collaborations are instrumental to fostering mutual growth. Aman Central not only enhances its own offerings but also helps its brand partners gain increased visibility and engagement with a wider audience.

An exciting contest

With the “Face of Aman Central” contest on TikTok, young talents are invited to join as they could potentially be featured in the 2024/2025 campaigns.

The contest will select two lucky winners to receive a cash prize of RM10,000 each, attend events, receive beauty and jewelry products, fashion pieces, and more.

Applicants from around the world can take part, provided they are above 18 and have the required documentation to remain in Malaysia during the contest.

They must upload their video profiles, including a short introduction video with the hashtags #FaceofAC2023, #ACContest, and tag @amancentraltiktok.

The submissions period started on June 17 and will end on Aug 18, 2024. The selection process will take place from Aug 19 to 31.

Shortlisted applicants will present and be judged by professionals on Sept 6, 2024.

Posts should include the applicant’s name, height, and age in the video’s title or description.

Private accounts cannot be used for applications, and each applicant must have a minimum of 5,000 followers. It is a bonus if the account is verified.

After posting the required videos on their personal accounts, applicants must complete the application by sending their TikTok link and contact information to the official FOAC email at cs@amancentral.com.my
