Motorcycle group journeys 600km in search of crown structures as birthday tribute

A MOTORCYCLE group has travelled over 600km across Johor to commemorate the birthday of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

Consisting of 13 motorcyclists and five pillion riders, the group spent three days and two nights embarking on a journey to find crown monuments in the state.

Along the way, this group from Heaven Motorcycle Club Southern Chapter was joined by three other motorcyclists.

Suzenn Goh, one of the motorcyclists, said they started their journey in Kulai and ended the 675.5km ride in Johor Baru.

“Our adventure started with breakfast at a local kopitiam in Kulai before heading to our first destination, the crown monument at Laman Diraja in Pontian,” she said.

“We then continued our journey to the next crown monument in Pekan Muar.

“Along the way, we also made several stops, including at Senggarang and Batu Pahat.

“We ended the first day at a hotel in Muar, where we met three other bikers who later joined us on the journey.”

Goh, who is also the first woman biker for the club’s southern chapter, said the group visited four other crown monuments in Tangkak, Segamat and Kluang on the second day.

“After departing Muar on the second day, we went to Tangkak where we found two crown monuments, and later to Segamat where we came across another monument.

“In Kluang, we saw one more crown monument at Bulatan Mahkota Kluang.

“We ended the second day at a resort in Mersing,” she said, adding that they travelled 320km on the second day.

On the final day, Goh said apart from discovering more crown monuments, the group also made a stop to take some photos at Istana Flintstone in Mersing.

“The next crown monument we visited was at Dataran Monumen in Mersing.

“Our last stop was the crown at the entrance to Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Baru,” she said.

She added that they were proud to complete the expedition, which was a special tribute to the King for his birthday.

“Each crown monument symbolised not just a landmark, but also a chapter in our shared story of exploration, resilience and unity.

“We are reminded not only of the monuments we discovered, but also of the bonds forged along the way,” said Goh.
