Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is imposing new compound rates for traffic offences starting July 1.
The new compound rates for those who pay within one to 15 days are RM30, RM50 and RM200 for motorcycles, cars and heavy vehicles, respectively.
For those who pay within 16 to 30 days, the rate is RM50 (motorcycles), RM80 (cars), and RM250 (heavy vehicles).
Offenders will need to pay RM80 (motorcycles), RM100 (cars), and RM300 (heavy vehicles) if they choose to pay within 31 to 60 days.
DBKL's Corporate Planning Department, in its statement Saturday (June 29) did not specify the types of traffic violations for the new rates.
However, it said the new compounds were applicable for offences under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) and subsidary laws under the Act.
