IT WAS a perfect weekend for feline enthusiasts to flaunt their four-legged companions at a dazzling two-day event in Ampang Jaya, Selangor.

The highlight of the event was the “Most Beautiful Cat” competition, organised by the Malaysia Cat Club at Spectrum Mall in Bandar Baru Ampang.

Held in conjunction with a Pet Welfare Awareness Campaign, the event saw a parade of pedigree cats such as the spotted Bengal, the majestic Maine Coon – one of the largest domesticated cat breeds – and the charming British Shorthair strutting their stuff.

In a dramatic finale, the title was awarded to Hayden, a striking Maine Coon named after Hollywood actor Hayden Christensen who is known for his role as Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise.

Hayden dazzled the judges with its silky black-grey fur and cheerful personality.

The event also featured a variety of activities, including a small animals exhibition, cat vaccinations, cat adoptions, and engaging games, making it a memorable occasion for all pet lovers.
