A 3D puzzle kit of the iconic Teluk Intan leaning clock tower is now available to the public.

Teluk Intan Tourism Association chairman Fong Seow Kai Chuan said the puzzle kit could be purchased at selected hotels and business premises in Teluk Intan, Perak.

Fong said the puzzle kit was priced at RM80 while an assembled one was RM150.

“Visitors can buy the puzzle kit at Angsoka Hotel, Lux Hotel, Merge Summit Boutique Hotel, Cap Arnab coffee factory and Happy Angel’s Cake House.

“People can also order it from our Facebook page,” she said.

Fong said the puzzle kit would make a good souvenir for those visiting Teluk Intan.

“We have been told by tourists that it can be hard to get a suitable souvenir whenever they visit Teluk Intan.

“The puzzle was then created and we hope that it can be a ‘must-buy’ item for tourists to bring home,” she said.

Fong said the puzzle kit was made from environmentally friendly composite fibre that was of good quality and adhered to international environmental conservation standards.

She said the kit is educational and suitable for people of ages.

The puzzle kit was created by two individuals, Kenny Kan, a Malaysian designer who is based in the US, and William TK Lee, a local from Teluk Intan.

Apart from the puzzle kit, Fong said they had also launched the Teluk Intan Fun Map, featuring some of the local businesses and tourist attractions.

About 10,000 copies of the map have been printed.

“We will also put up QR Codes at selected hotels, eateries and shops so that tourists can scan it to get a digital version of the map.

“We hope these will promote Teluk Intan to foreign tourists.”
