GREEN spaces are some of the special features about Sibujaya township in Sibu, Sarawak, built in 1995 by Amcorp Sibujaya Sdn Bhd and its parent company Amcorp Properties Bhd (Amcorp).

Former Amcorp chief executive officer Ben Lee Keen Pong, who retired in June, is proud of what the developer has achieved but says the work is far from complete.

“I hope the Sibujaya team will continue to innovate to ensure the township remains a green, vibrant community for generations to come.

“A green environment promotes physical and mental well-being.

“Our green spaces offer residents a place to relax, exercise and engage with nature.

“This is part of our holistic approach to community development,” he said at a tree-planting event at the developer’s Sibujaya showhouse.

Lee also thanked Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) and other government agencies that had played a role in transforming Sibujaya into a green sanctuary.

Also present were Amcorp group deputy chief executive officer Shahman Azman, advisor Azmi Hashim, chief operating officer Azlan Baqee Abdullah and group deputy chief operating officer Mohd Rahimi Mohd Yusof.
