Unique and personalised memorial offerings launched

The square floor carpet and circular ceiling embody the traditional Chinese cosmological concept of ‘round Heaven and square Earth’.

HOME is where the heart is. Even for the departed, their final resting place holds significance for family members.

Recognising this, Nirvana Asia Group has introduced “The Sky” – a new memorial centre offering personalised columbarium options to honour loved ones.

Located on the sixth level of Nirvana Centre Kuala Lumpur (Nirvana 2) on Jalan Dewan Bahasa, “The Sky” derives its name from the expansive views of the sky and cityscape visible from the building.

Nirvana Memorial Park (Malaysia Central Region) sales and marketing chief executive officer Datin Lee Jye Chyi said this five-star centre was a two-year endeavour from planning to implementation.

“The result is a masterpiece of high-standard perfection.

“Every detail, from its materials and colour scheme to lighting and furnishings, reflects countless discussions and refinements,” she said during “The Sky” opening ceremony.

“The Sky” offers two suite packages – “Suite 18” and “Suite 8”.

The former embodies a thematic columbarium suite, crafted in collaboration with feng shui and yi jing master Louis Loh Yat Meng.

“Suite 18 enhances customer engagement in their eternal residence with deeper columbarium niches and especially designed ‘inner hall’ spaces.

“Customers can fully customise niche interiors, furnishings and scene-setting styles, like traditional Chinese halls, minimalist European living rooms or resort-style beach settings, to create their own unique sanctuary,” Loh said.

Introducing his design philosophy for “Suite 18”, Loh emphasised blending ancient metaphysics with modern aesthetics.

“Innovation includes the imprinted 64 hexagrams, corresponding to a complete eight trigrams (bagua) graph on the square floor carpet, with blue, green and white colours at the centre, symbolising earth.

“Above, constellation-like figures on the circular ceiling depict the 28 mansions in feng shui, evoking a star-filled sky.

“This setup follows the traditional Chinese cosmological concept of ‘round heaven and square earth’, fostering favourable living conditions,” he said.

Other design elements by Loh include ancient metaphysical principles, showcasing a spacious, bright hall with mainly pure white design and a north-south orientation.

“This superior feng shui layout of Suite 18 ensures lasting blessings, wealth and good fortune for future generations,” Loh said.

Of the Suite 8 option, Lee said the family option can accommodate up to nine ancestral tablets and 16 cinerary urns.

“Customisable suites are available for this package, allowing families to decide on the design, colour, ash door panels and placement of the room, creating an exclusive spiritual space,” she said.

Present at the opening ceremony were Nirvana Asia Group executive director Datuk Reeno Kong, chief project officer Hoo Lai Chen and Nirvana Memorial Park (Malaysia Central Region) business development general manager Melvyn Laang Yow Ming.

Customers completing a 10% down payment for Suite 8 bookings will receive a RM40,000 rebate, while those with a 30% downpayment will get a RM60,000 rebate.

Suite 18 buyers can receive 24-inch luggage for a single room purchase, while double room buyers stand to receive Loh’s personally blessed strongbox worth over RM2,800.

All purchases will be rewarded with additional Durian Rewards Plus from Nirvana.
