HERIOT-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM) and Zchwantech Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) that solidifies their commitment to supporting Malaysia’s bright and deserving students in computing science.

The event, which was held at the university’s Putrajaya campus, marks a pivotal step towards bolstering the talent pipeline for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields in Malaysia.

The MoA signifies a collaborative effort that aims to empower students and provide them with invaluable opportunities to thrive in both the academic and professional worlds.

In alignment with Zchwantech’s vision to nurture students’ capabilities and expose them to real-world corporate environments, the company will sponsor the tuition fees of selected scholars and offer various internship opportunities.

This comprehensive support will equip students with essential work and life skills, enabling them to learn, network and gain firsthand experience in a professional setting.

The MoA was signed by Zchwantech chief technology officer Chay Weei Jye and HWUM chief executive officer and provost Prof Mushtak Al-Atabi. Senior management teams from both organisations were also present to witness the event.
