KL Sept travel fair offers wide choices via 1,590 booths

The 55th edition of this well-known three-day travel fair is set to appeal to many.

Travellers looking for value-priced deals can head to the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur come September.

With a total of 1,590 booths, the centre will host the 55th edition of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Fair.

This popular travel fair will feature a wide range of travel and holiday options.

MATTA president Nigel Wong said they aimed higher for the September fair following the success of the March 2024 MATTA Fair where it welcomed 180,000 visitors and generated sales of RM230mil.

“Our goal is to attract 200,000 visitors and to generate RM250mil in sales.”

Wong added that all participating tour and travel exhibitors were licensed by the Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry.

He assured all visitors that they could choose their travel and holidays packages with full confidence.

“For this MATTA Fair, we have strong partners, such as Sabah Tourism Board, Sarawak Tourism Board, Malaysia Airlines, RHB Bank, Taiwan, and Amadeus.

“Their support is invaluable in helping to make this fair another great success,” Wong added.

This MATTA Fair will also feature the second MATTA Talents Expo, located at Level 1.

The expo will focus on talent development within the tourism industry.

Many leading brands and companies will be at the expo to source for talents and reskill or upskill current staff.

“We look forward to an exciting MATTA Fair and are grateful for the continued support of our media partners,” said Wong.

The free-admission fair will be open to public from 10am to 9pm between Sept 6 and 8.

To ease traffic congestion, fair organisers encourage visitors to use its free shuttle services to and from KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall.

A marketing campaign to promote the shuttle service will offer exciting prizes to lucky riders.

Visitors will also be able to participate in the MATTA Fair Buyers’ Contest.

For every minimum purchase of RM100 on any travel package, visitors will be eligible to enter the contest and win prizes.
