A CHARITY Jam Session (CJS) this Sunday promises good fun, prizes and live performances to support worthy causes.
The event, at Amari Kuala Lumpur hotel on Aug 11, will raise funds for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and non-governmental organisation Food Aid Foundation.
The event, now in its 23rd year, has a long-standing tradition of raising funds for charitable causes.
CJS founder and organising chairman SS Rajaa said the event had raised over RM1.5mil since its inception.
“I feel very blessed for being able to do this for the past 22 years.
“I hope CJS will grow to be even more successful in the coming years,” Rajaa said at a press conference promoting the session which will involve a variety of well-known names in the local music scene.
Among them are The Strollers, Sharin Band, Stag, Mojo Hand, Rasta Syndicate, Vishnu and BATS House, Soul Seekers, Karisma, Baby Chel, N-9ners, Cauliflower Robbery, and Sella and Small Stones.
The bands will perform from noon until midnight.
