About 18,000 visitors attended a platform connecting global leaders in printing and advertising.

The 15th edition of the International Printing, Paper, Packaging Machinery Exhibition (IPMEX) Malaysia 2024, along with the inaugural Apparel and Textile Exhibitions Malaysia (ATEX) and Signage Malaysia provided a three-in-one platform where cutting-edge technologies, groundbreaking designs and market trends converged.

Kaizer Exhibitions & Conference Sdn Bhd managing director Belle Yam said the event doubled its exhibition space from last year, signalling its growing importance.

Spanning nearly 16,000sq m at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur, the expansion reflected the growing demand and interest in the printing, signage and textile industries, said the organiser in a press statement.

Over 300 exhibitors from around the globe took part in IPMEX Malaysia 2024.

Yam spoke of the significance of the event’s growth when she said, “This year marks not just the 15th bi-annual IPMEX Malaysia but also the first-ever ATEX Malaysia expo.

“We have expanded our exhibition space to nearly double the size of last year, reflecting the shared passion of promoting and advancing the printing, signage and advertising industries.

“Visitors have the opportunity to explore a wide range of new technologies, innovations and post-press equipment.

“These include printing materials and finishing solutions for signage, 3D printing and LED displays,” she said in her speech during the event’s opening.

Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, who launched the event, emphasised the exhibition’s role in positioning Malaysia as a key player on the regional stage.

“As Malaysia prepares to take on the Asean chairmanship in 2025, this exhibition offers a strategic opportunity to showcase the region’s collective prosperity and future resilience.

“The Malaysian Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) sector remains a key contributor to our nation’s growth.

“Our recent recognition as the 4th Most Expected MICE Destination by the China MICE Industry Golden Chair Awards highlights Malaysia’s strong global presence and reputation, due to its strong links with the hospitality, transportation, and tourism sectors,” he said.
