IN CANADA, Tim Hortons is a well-loved coffeehouse and restaurant chain which was established in 1964.

This month, the chain made its debut in Malaysia.

“Our coffee quality is truly exceptional because we use 100% premium Arabica beans sourced from high-altitude coffee-producing regions around the world,” said Marubeni Growth Capital Asia (MGCA) regional marketing director Aaron Tang.

In Malaysia, the Tim Hortons menu offers a blend of international favourites and local exclusive coffees.

Coffee enthusiasts can look forward to enjoying beverages like the popular Double-Double, a combination of double cream and double sugar that delivers just the right amount of creaminess with a touch of sweetness.

Additionally, the chain’s signature Maple Cinnamon Latte offers a subtle spice note that complements the rich flavour of maple syrup.

For those hesitant to try cinnamon-flavoured drinks, this latte is an excellent introduction with its mild, balanced profile.

True to its Canadian roots, Tim Hortons has incorporated maple syrup into several menu items such as the Maple Biscoff Donuts.

This dish provides a delightful fusion of sweet and savoury flavours.

Tim Hortons Malaysia has also introduced menu items tailored for the local palate.

These include Pineapple-Filled Donuts, Kaya-Filled Donuts and Kaya-Filled Timbits, blending familiar local flavours with Tim Hortons’ classic offerings.

For coffee purists, Tim Hortons offers a Daily Brew (RM10) and the Double-Double (RM13) made with beans from Latin America, featuring sweet and acidic notes.

The Americano and latte, on the other hand, are crafted using an espresso blend sourced from Latin America and Sumatra, that offers a richer flavour profile with a strong, roasted aroma.

Tim Hortons Malaysia also brings exclusive beverages to the table, such as the Ice Capp in two Malaysia-only flavours, Butterscotch Ondeh-Ondeh (RM15) and Teh Tarik Tribute (RM15).

The menu also features hearty options like the Maple Chicken Deli & Cheese Sourdough Melts (RM19) and Pesto Cream Chicken & Mozzarella Pasta (RM19).

Doughnuts are priced at RM6 each.

For a local touch, Tim Hortons Malaysia has collaborated with artist Asyikin Abdulla from Lakar by Mekar to design the interiors of its IOI City Mall and Sunway Velocity locations, which feature hand-painted mural with floral and batik motifs.

“From our furniture to our decor, our restaurants in Malaysia allow our guests to discover what makes the brand special,” said Tang.

All ingredients used by Tim Hortons are sourced from halal-certified suppliers.

No pork, lard or alcohol is included in its food.
