THE who’s who in the advertising and marketing industries were celebrated at this year’s Media Specialists Association (MSA) Festival and Awards night.
The event themed “Charting New Horizons”, held at a hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, was attended by more than 1,000 movers and shakers including from the media.
The agencies competed for three main awards – Grand Prix, Agency of the Year and Advertiser of the Year.
The other 22 award categories included Best Use of Branded Entertainment and Content, Best Use of Media Collaboration and Best Use of Influencer Marketing.
KrupKrup Ayamgoreng McD, There’s Nothing Like It by McDonald’s Malaysia and OMD Malaysia took home the Grand Prix award.
Mindshare Group Malaysia won in the Agency of the Year category.
Winner of the Advertiser of the Year award was QSR Brands (M) Holdings.
Over 90 distinguished judges from advertising agencies, clients, organisations and sponsors were invited to deliberate over this year’s entries across two rounds.
MSA president and organising chairman Sheila Shanmugam said more than 400 submissions were received.
“We had 163 finalists and we saw some amazing work across many agencies,” she said.
Sheila added that the awards not only reinforced the role of the festival but was also seen as the platform for advancing within the industry to a higher level, to chart new horizons. — By MEGAT SYAHAR
