MOONCAKES, herbal treats and other seasonal delights greeted visitors to Pavilion Damansara Heights this Mid-Autumn Festival.

The “Autumn of Lights” campaign also consisted of cultural performances.

Lantern lights led visitors to 13 vibrant booths in the Kuala Lumpur mall’s Centre Court on Level 2.

Among the vendors here are those specialising in modernised traditional Chinese herbal products and making handcrafted cakes and biscuits.

“We offer quality, pesticide-free products that promote well-being while supporting sustainability,” said Herbal Farmer retail operations head Faymond Ng Chee Yee.

Ng added that its collection offered a range of products for both young and old.

Nearby, Yuan Xiang co-founder Sue Luw Soo Yen was on hand to suggest baked goodies to customers.

“I would recommend our 3Q mooncake which includes mochi, salted egg and shredded chicken.

“Its combination of textures and sweet-salty flavours makes it ideal for those looking for something unique but not overly sweet.

“For older customers, I suggest the traditional lotus or pandan paste mooncakes, which also come with egg,” she said.

Another interesting booth was Joymom’s, known for its preservative-free mooncakes made with natural ingredients.

Media members had the opportunity to sample 10 of the brand’s unique mooncake varieties which included Royal Himalayan Dark Chocolate, Phoenix Dan Cong Tea, Osmanthus Longan, Lava Tiramisu and Pumpkin Black Sesame.

Meanwhile, a new eatery from Jiangmen City, China, also made its presence felt.

Located on level five, Zhao Ji Dessert serves speciality treats such as Ginger Milk, Milk Brick Bun and Taro Pearl with Grass Jelly.

“A crowd favourite is the signature Ginger Milk,” said its founder Grace Loo.

“Our recipes come directly from China and after much trial and error, we’ve perfected the Ginger Milk.”

Throughout the campaign, the shopping centre is offering exclusive rewards.

Shoppers who spend RM300 in a single receipt can redeem a RM20 cash voucher, while those who spend RM500 will receive a RM50 voucher.

On Malaysia Day, shoppers who spend RM500 can enjoy an additional RM70 voucher.
