PROMOTING wellness and fostering connections, the Sixth TARCian Run 2024 brought together about 1,000 participants for a lively morning of activity.

Starting at the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) Penang branch campus in Tanjung Bungah, the 7km run led up to Astaka Hillside, Tenby International School and concluded at the university.

The university’s branch head Assoc Prof Dr Janice Toh said, “Whether you sprinted, jogged or walked, every step you took represents dedication, teamwork and community spirit.

“It is not about how fast you completed the run but the effort you put in to cross the finish line.

“Today, we are all winners,” she said.

She then extended her gratitude to the event sponsors.

“Your hard work behind the scene is what made today a success, and we appreciate the time and energy you put into ensuring everything ran smoothly,” she said.

Toh said the run not only promoted physical wellness but created an opportunity for participants to connect with one another.

“I would like to encourage everyone to go on with this momentum, fostering personal growth, support for each other and a positive outlook,” she said.

The event also featured a lucky draw with 47 prizes worth RM15,000. ― By N. TRISHA
