THE ROYALE Chulan Hotels & Resorts Group will mark World Children’s Day with a family oriented festival at its Seremban hotel.
The Children’s Day festival will take place on Nov 9 and 10 at the Royale Chulan Seremban Seri Negeri ballrooms, foyer and public areas where children will have the opportunity to participate in games, fun-filled activities and contests with cash and other prizes up for grabs.
Royale Chulan chief operating officer Jack Wong Yun Kit said his team’s objective in holding the festival was to express their gratitude to guests who stayed at their hotels and patronised their F&B outlets.
“It provides an opportunity for families to create special memories with their loved ones and aligns with our hotel’s family-oriented values.”
Activities at the Seremban hotel will include colouring contests, dance and singing competitions as well as a fashion show.
First-prize winners in these contests stand the chance to win exciting gifts worth RM400, a RM500 cash prize sponsored by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), trophies and certificates as well as four Legoland Malaysia theme park tickets, valued at RM800.
The second and third-placed winners will receive cash prizes of RM400 and RM300 respectively, along with a trophy, certificate and two entrance tickets to SnowLim Wonderland as well as gifts valued at RM300.
Participants will also receive tokens of appreciation and certificates.
There will also be 2,000 door gifts of Bzu Bzu child personal care products.
Contest entrance fees, he said, start from RM25nett per child, which includes meals.
Wong said the hotel, in collaboration with Brickmasters, will also organise a Lego competition at Seri Negeri Ballroom 2, with over 500 participants expected each day.
This competition will be open to all, including parents with each participant being charged a RM5 registration fee. Up for grabs are 18 Lego box prizes.
“There will also be a chess tournament which will be open to children up to 12 years on the first day and to all others the next day,” he said.
Wong said by participating, both parents and children will have the opportunity to express their creativity, strengthen family bonds and interact with others.
“We have adapted the event to cater to diverse needs by offering activities that are accessible to children of different ages.”
Throughout the two-day event, families can enjoy a variety of activities including a baking workshop with pastry chef, inflatable castle by Kiddytopia, magic show, treasure hunt, clown appearances with balloon sculptures, sand art, face painting, henna hand art, animal replica exhibits by the National Wildlife and Parks Department (Perhilitan) and a display by the Seremban Fire and Rescue Department featuring a fire engine and mini fireman uniforms for children, plus batik-painting activities.
Children will also benefit from complementary medical check-ups, including a dental examination and eye screening. There will also be hourly lucky draws.
Wong said parents could register their children for any of the competitions and workshops by scanning the QR code below.
Slots for competitions and workshops are limited and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.
