PENGURUSAN Air Selangor Sdn Bhd, through the Online Learning Empowerment programme under its corporate social responsibility initiative, Sesama Mara, is sponsoring 240 students from B40 families.

The initiative provides those preparing for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination with access to digital education, in collaboration with Pandai Education SdnBhd

The collaboration provides interactive digital learning materials through the Pandai Premium app.

Air Selangor chief executive officer Adam Saffian Ghazali said: “We are committed to giving back to the communities through grassroots initiatives by supporting children from B40 families.

“When these students are given equal opportunities to access digital learning, we hope it will help them prepare for the SPM and at the same time, improve their academic performance.”

This year’s recipients of the Pandai Premium app subscription include 72 children of Air Selangor employees, 60 students from SMK Puchong, 40 from SMK Padang Tembak, 13 from Rumah Kebajikan Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras and 55 selected students from basic Pandai app users.

To date, Air Selangor has sponsored 415 students with Pandai app subscriptions.

Pandai Premium is a subscription plan that provides students access to practical questions, tests, notes, one-on-one chat assistance, online tutoring in all subjects and exam questions for revision.

Pandai CEO Khairul Anwar Mohamad Zaki said: “We are honoured to continue our collaboration with Air Selangor for a second year to support students in underprivileged families.

“This programme not only benefits the students but also supports our efforts to ensure that quality education is accessible to all, in line with the Education Ministry’s agenda to drive digital education.”
