She said supporting the event aligned perfectly with the company’s mission to foster a healthier community while encouraging active lifestyles.

PBIM 2024, which emphasises health, community and international participants, was in line with BCG’s brand values, she said.

Wong said the event which attracted participants from all walks of life, mirrored BCG’s dedication to impacting diverse communities positively.

“As a company dedicated to better and healthier lives, we value initiatives that bring people together for a common cause.

“The marathon’s rich history and significant local and international participation resonate deeply with our goal of reaching and positively impacting a broad audience,” she said.

Wong said the company’s involvement extended beyond sponsorship as it aimed at inspiring people to take proactive steps regarding their health.

She said during the event, BCG would offer participants access to basic health screenings, personalised advice and other resources.

She said the company believed that by supporting such events, it could inspire people to make health a priority which would help build a healthy community.

“Our presence at the event is about more than branding – it’s about making a tangible difference in people’s lives,” she said.

She said prior to this the company had been actively involved in numerous health- related initiatives, including regular health checks, workshops and community outreach programmes.

These efforts are designed to provide education, consultations and personalised health advice to the public, ensuring healthcare is accessible to all.

“Through our extensive network of over 600 stores, our pharmacists and healthcare professionals are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and making healthcare more accessible to everyone,” she added.

Wong encouraged everyone to continue prioritising their well-being – not just today, but every day.

“Your commitment to health and fitness is truly inspiring. Whether you’re running, cheering, or simply supporting the event, you are contributing to a healthier community,” she said.
