This month, Mai Bar at Aloft Kuala Lumpur unveils its latest Halloween-inspired cocktail, the Grim Reaper-ita.
Specially curated for the occasion, this scary-sounding concoction offers a dark, seasonal twist on the classic margarita.
Made with a blend of dark rum, blackberry liqueur, lime juice, sugar syrup and a pinch of activated charcoal, Grim Reaper-ita gives off a sinister vibe despite its vibrant flavours.
A black sugar rim and sprig of rosemary completes the eerie touch to this ghoulish cocktail.
Guests can indulge in this drink as they admire the city skyline from the rooftop haunt and enjoy an array of inventive dishes.
The drink, also served at the hotel’s W XYZ Bar, is priced at RM58nett per glass.

On Oct 25, G-String KL is set to transform into a haunting experience with delicately crafted cocktails to match.
Its new Curse and Cocktails menu showcases Bloody Maria and Beyond The Grave.
The former is a concoction of Bacardi rum, Grenadine, X-Rated liquer, Cabernet Sauvignon and lemon juice while the latter is a mix of Patron Reposado, Campari, Jafermeister and grapefruit.
There is also a set of six shooters for the adventurous.
Named Rest in Peace Baby, the shooters are made of Patron Reposado, Pernod Ricard, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenadine.
Spooky hallways to get lost in will feature on the ground floor.

Blood Transfusion, served in a blood pack, is made of extra dry martini, watermelon and peach liqueur, lime juice, hibiscus syrup, chrysanthemum water and Angostura Bitters.
Meanwhile, Devil Heart is a concoction of Blue Curacao, peach liqueur, fresh lime juice, egg white, cheesecake syrup and chocolate syrup.
It is served in a cupid glass with strawberry puree lining the rim.
Bar Tailor is hosting a Halloween party on Oct 31 from 5pm till late.
Entrance to the party is priced at RM55nett per person, including a cocktail and snacks.

It is also mixed with fresh lemon juice and agave syrup.
Meanwhile, Vampire Kiss shooters are a play on that killer mix.
It is a concoction of vodka-infused squid ink, fresh lemon juice and strawberry syrup.
The bar will be organising Midnight Circus: Killer Carnevil for Halloween on Nov 2, 10pm till late.

The Record Speakeasy is celebrates Halloween with two new cocktails and shooters.
Try its Bloody Martini cocktail, which is a twist on the classic martini.
This version is made with dry vermouth, dry gin, pomegranate juice, blackberries, icing sugar and mint sprig.
For something that looks scary, the eyeball shooter features lychee fruit that’s made to look like an eyeball.
The drink is made from vodka, lychee liqueur, lychee juice, bianco vermouth, syrup and lychee and blueberry fruits.
