Pre-launch of 168 units on 3.808ha of land sees RM42mil sales in single day

NESTLED against an enchanting backdrop of the 260-million-year-old majestic limestone hills, Sunway Bayu flexi terrace homes is the latest landed development within the award-winning Sunway City Ipoh township.

With beautiful natural surroundings, the Sunway Property development in Tambun, Perak, has already achieved RM42mil in sales during its pre-launch event.

Sunway Property central and northern regions chief executive officer Chong Sau Min said the project was the final landed home series, and would be due for completion by 2027.

“Drawing over 100 families, the event secured the sales amount in a single day, reflecting a high demand for the unique flexi-terrace homes within the strategic integrated township.

“The overwhelming response for Sunway Bayu during the pre-launch event highlights the demand for innovative homes within dynamic, sustainable communities offering extensive amenities as well as the confidence that buyers have in the Sunway brand,” Chong said in a media statement.

He added that the project, about 15 minutes from Ipoh’s city centre and within the Sunway City Ipoh, comprises 168 units of flexi-terrace homes on 3.808ha of land.

Sunway Bayu is only 500m from Ipoh’s Sunway Medical Centre set to open next year and Perak’s largest shopping centre, Sunway Mall, due for completion in 2027.

Within the same distance will be the future Sunway Education campus.

“These additions, along with the existing attractions such as The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat and Lost World of Tambun, further enhance the appeal of Sunway Bayu as well as the township’s standing as a premier integrated destination,” said Chong.

“Following the successful pre-launch, Sunway Bayu will be officially launched to the public in conjunction with its anticipated showhouse opening in December,” he said.

He added that with GreenRE certification, the project has eco-friendly features such as low VOC paint, water-efficient systems and a north-south building orientation for passive heat control.

He listed other energy-saving features that included five-star rated air-conditioners, solar water-heaters, and sensor lighting in common areas, providing cost-effective and environmentally friendly living.

“There are also wellness-focused amenities such as a linear garden, outdoor gym and various communal spaces.

“Residents will benefit from spacious layouts, jogging and bicycle-friendly paths, community farming options, EV charging-ready points, and multigenerational features like elderly- and child-friendly designs.

“All of these are provided within a secure, family-friendly environment featuring 24-hour CCTV, patrol guards and a gated neighbourhood,” he added.

Chong said buyers of Sunway Bayu units would be automatically included as members of Sunway Property’s community aftersales programme for its homebuyers, sub-sale buyers and tenants.

The programme features three service pillars: Rent (rental advantages), Care (home maintenance services) and Rewards (special invites and discounts).

Building on Sunway City Ipoh’s expansion plans and with a targeted gross development value of RM6bil, Chong said the company would be leveraging on their unique build-own-operate business model to expand Sunway City Ipoh with an additional RM4bil in investments.
