OVER 2,000 football fans cheered as Guinness Malaysia, the official ale of the Premier League, crowned its first grand-prize winner at its Guinness Matchday event.

Sheer joy filled Gregory Isaac after his name was drawn from hundreds of entries.

He won a fully paid trip for two to watch a Premier League match in England, United Kingdom, in April 2025.

At Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, spirits were high as fans were given the chance to win prizes.

These included Guinness pints and jerseys, and signed football jerseys.

“Guinness Matchday is about bringing people together,” said Heineken Malaysia Bhd wheat beer, stout and Diageo brands marketing manager Shaun Lim.

“It’s a celebration of the beautiful game and the perfect pint.

“We are thrilled to have revealed our first grand-prize winner,” he said.

The event peaked with live screenings of two matches on a huge 8m x 14m screen.

Two more grand-prize winners will be selected at upcoming Guinness viewing varieties at bars and pubs nationwide.
