THE best agents of Hong Leong Assurance (HLA) were honoured at its annual awards presentation 2024 held at Genting International Convention Centre in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
The event, themed “Celebrating HLA’s Brilliant Stars”, recognised 654 top agency leaders and agents.
These achievers received their awards from HLA group managing director and chief executive officer Loh Guat Lan and chief distribution officer Koh Hoe Shin.
May Lee was once again crowned Champion Agency Manager for the 17th consecutive year, marking an unparalleled record.
She was also the only agency leader in Malaysia to have attained the Top of the Table rank for the 22nd time in yet another unbeatable record.
Other top performers were Leslie Kok Jin Yee, Lee Bee Jiuan and Goh Syuek Peng who were respectively recognised with the Champion Unit Manager, Champion Agent and Champion Master Builder awards.
“In today’s dynamic insurance landscape, agency force plays a vital role in empowering customers to protect their families,” said Loh.
“On behalf of HLA, I commend these award winners.
“Their passion and perseverance will continue to set as well as raise the standards for the field, and inspire future generations.
“This excellence is what defines HLA, it has driven our progress for 50 years and will continue to do so.
“I am confident that the awardees and their teams are ready to achieve greater things for HLA,” she said.
In the 2023/2024 financial year, HLA recorded RM3.1bil in total gross premiums.
The insurer also won the Domestic Life Insurer of the Year – Malaysia award, presented as part of the Asian Banking and Finance Insurance Asia Awards eight times between 2016 to 2022 and in 2024.
At the Global Business Outlook Awards 2024, HLA was named Best Life Insurance Company – Malaysia.
HLA won a similar award five times between 2017 and 2019 as well as in 2021 and 2022 at the International Finance Awards (IFA).
At IFA 2021, HLA was named as the Best Health Insurance Company – Malaysia.
Additionally, HLA bagged the Insurtech – Life Insurance Category Award given out at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2023.
