TAYLOR’S Education Group, a leader in Malaysia’s premium education sector, has announced a strategic investment in Good International School, supporting its mission for affordable, high-quality international education.

This investment represents Taylor’s desire to make quality education accessible to a broader range of students.

Good International School is co-founded and led by the dynamic wife-husband team of Yeoh Shu Wen and Thor Joe Hock.

The duo, both distinguished alumni of Taylor’s College, share a commitment to making world-class education available at an affordable price point.

Taylor’s Education Group chairman Datuk Loy Teik Ngan expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.

“We have been blessed with success in our premium and mid-priced offerings, and this investment is part of our broader goal to offer the Taylor’s education experience to a larger group of Malaysian families.

“By investing in Good International School, we are not only proudly supporting an initiative led by two of our talented Taylor’s College alumni but will also participate in fostering a new model of affordable international education that offers students the best of both worlds – quality and affordability.

“Good International School’s commitment in the affordable sector of education resonates with our vision of making quality education more accessible,” he said.

Key benefits of the commitment include:

> Preferential access for Good International School students seeking to study at Taylor’s College or Taylor’s University.

> A pipeline of qualified new graduate teachers from Taylor’s University’s School of Education, allowing Good International School access to well-qualified teachers who are aligned with the school’s vision.

> Internships for undergraduate students from Taylor’s University, providing real-world experience for aspiring educators and enhancing the student-teacher relationship at Good International School.

> Collaboration with Taylor’s University’s School of Education on introducing progressive teaching methods.

Reflecting on the partnership, Yeoh, who is also Good International School’s managing director, said their mission had always been to ensure every child, regardless of their financial background, could access excellent international education.

“The investment from Taylor’s Education Group strengthens this mission and allows us to continue growing without compromising on quality.

“The backing of Taylor’s, along with access to their expertise and talent pipeline, will be transformative for our future,” she shared.

Thor, who is Good International School’s executive director, added, “We’ve always believed in balancing affordability with excellence in education that is environmentally and socially sustainable.

“This investment allows us to leverage Taylor’s Education Group’s vast resources and knowledge to achieve our goals.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity to not only provide a seamless and supported academic pathway for our students to Taylor’s College and Taylor’s University, but to also partner in identifying collaborative opportunities to support the local community by repurposing or regentrifying existing built environments.”

Good International School’s brand-new campus at Quayside Tower, part of Gamuda Land’s growing TwentyFive7 development in Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor, is an example of this commitment to meaningful community collaboration.

Opened in August 2024, the campus combines strong academics with thoughtfully curated co-curricular activities.

Its strategic location provides families access to affordable international education within a 30-minute radius.

With this partnership, Taylor’s Education Group is once again leading the way in shaping the future of education in Malaysia.
