THIS festive season, many bars in Kuala Lumpur are flexing their creativity with special cocktails.
Guests can expect some Yuletide-inspired beverages, setting the stage for vibrant cheer this Christmas and into the new year.
A range of cocktails that suit a variety of palates are available, from tipples with a tropical twist to spirit-forward whiskey cocktails.
Some of the establishments will also have countdown parties to usher in the new year.

Jackfruit Cocktail is a tropical fusion of Mount Gay Eclipse rum, Campari and vermouth, complemented by the sweet richness of jackfruit and hint of desiccated coconut.
This cocktail strikes a perfect balance of bold rum, exotic fruit and bittersweet complexity to offer a refreshingly refined sip.
Another highlight is Guava Cocktail, which is a mix of The Botanist gin and pink guava, balanced by a tangy acid mix and subtle kick of jalapeno heat.
The result is a tantalising fusion of botanicals, tropical sweetness and a spicy finish –perfect for those who crave a unique and zesty twist on a classic gin cocktail.
Papaya Cocktail gives a crisp, clarified blend of The Botanist Gin, Cointreau, papaya and calamansi, with a hint of torch ginger flower (bunga kantan).
The milk-washed drink creates a smooth, clean texture.
Another highlight is Kaya Cocktail – a rich and aromatic blend of Remy Martin VSOP, pandan kaya and a touch of spice mix, rounded out with egg for a velvety texture.
These cocktails will be available throughout December.

Ocean Snowball is a visually striking drink that combines vibrant colours and tropical flavours.
It is mixed with vodka, pomegranate syrup and lychee, then garnished with sago pearls and topped with mint leaves.
Its colour comes from the Blue Curacao that is added to the mix.
The drink is priced at RM38 per glass.
On a more spirit-forward and sweeter side is Gummy Santa.
It offers a mix of gin and Malibu rum, which forms a smooth, aromatic base that gives a coconut note and juniper-forward profile while Aperol adds a hint of bittersweet citrus.
The cocktail, priced at RM32 per glass, is also mixed with jackfruit syrup for a tropical taste and topped with candied garnishes.
On the food front, guests can try the Merry Roast Chicken (RM29), which features a whole chicken served with sauteed vegetables and potato mash.
Meanwhile, the Holly Seafood bowl (RM32), which has prawns, squid and mussels in a cream sauce, comes in a decent-sized portion

This festive season, Pool Bar at Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam is serving up festive cocktails (RM45 each) and mocktails (RM28 each) alongside a wine, whiskey and beer bucket promotion until Dec 25.
Visitors can try Drunken Santa Cocktail made from pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, lemon juice, vodka, Cointreau, club soda and rosemary.
Silent Night Cocktail is a concoction of Beefeater gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, honey plus aromatic bitter dash.
Giving a twist to the classic pina colada, Snowman Colada is a mix of Bacardi rum, Malibu rum, Blue Curacao, pineapple juice and coconut cream.
For Christmas mocktails, Feliz Navidad is a mix of orange juice, pineapple juice, pomegranate juice, apple juice and soda, while Christmas Carol features Grenadine syrup, strawberry fraise, 7 Up and maraschino cherries.
Guests can also enjoy a beer tower promotion priced at RM238nett per tower or RM438nett for two towers, with a choice of snacks of either popcorn or fries, while there is also a promotion for wine and spirits.
Pool Bar is also having a New Year’s Eve party, where guests can enjoy free flow of spirits for a limited time.
It is priced at RM118+ per person for one hour of free flow drinks and RM199+ per person for two hours of free flow drinks.
Guest DJ Yazzi will be spinning the best tracks throughout the evening.

This Christmas, Jann is serving up Tropical Christmas Twist, which is a mix of Jameson Original, pineapple juice, cream and vanilla syrup.
Snow Martini, meanwhile, is a take on the classic martini, made of Jameson Black Barrel Irish whiskey, Creme de Cacao White, cream and cocoa bitters.
For a more spicy drink, Cinnamon Mango Frost combines Jameson Original lemon juice, homemade spiced syrup, palm sugar and mango puree.
Lastly, Winter Nitro Brew offers a mix of Jameson Black Barrel Irish whiskey and nitro brew.
Cocktails are priced at RM50 each and RM180 for a set of four.
Jann is also having a New Year’s countdown party from 8.30pm to 12.30am.
Standing packages are priced at RM150+ per person indoors and RM250+ outdoors.
These include free flow of Jameson Original Irish whiskey, Beefeater London dry gin, Absolut vodka and Olmeca Reposado tequila from 8.30pm to 11.30pm.
Table packages are priced from RM499+ to RM1,499+, depending on the spirits.
