DAZZLING fireworks displays and stunning decorative lights illuminated Klang Valley as thousands gathered at popular spots to welcome 2025.

In Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor, streets and landmarks came alive with celebratory crowds eagerly anticipating the countdown even before nightfall.

The display from the top of KL Tower also made it into the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest altitude tower fireworks show.

Light and Motion Putrajaya Festival returned to the administrative capital after a three-year hiatus and saw many government buildings aglow.

Using cutting-edge technology, the Palace of Justice facade was turned into a canvas of colour and light, drawing throngs of onlookers.

Not missing out were shopping centres such as The Exchange TRX as well as The Curve in Petaling Jaya with concerts featuring famed performers.

With fireworks displays in other areas including Bandar Sunway, and celebratory vibes – with fake snow – in Bukit Bintang, it was a high-octane start to what will hopefully be a great year ahead.
