Former assemblyman appointed Tourism Selangor CEO

SHAH ALAM: Former Kuala Sepetang assemblyman Chua Yee Ling (pic) has been appointed as the chief executive officer of Tourism Selangor, effective immediately.

Chua succeeds Azrul Shah Mohamad, who served as CEO for five years from January 2020.

She will be leading Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd, the official tourism promotion agency of Selangor.

In a statement, the board of directors, management team and staff of Tourism Selangor welcomed the new CEO, whose 17 years of experience in managerial positions across various industries brings a wealth of expertise and credibility to Tourism Selangor.

As Chua’s track record spans both public and private sectors, Tourism Selangor “is confident that she will strengthen collaboration between the agency and the Selangor government”.

Previously, Chua served as Industry Development and Business Networking manager at Tourism Selangor for four years.

Before joining Tourism Selangor, she held several key roles in government, including special officer to the Housing and Local Government minister, and Kuala Sepetang assemblyman from 2013-2018.
